WHY IS A CIRCULAR ECONOMY BETTER THAN A LINEAR ECONOMY?
A linear economy has three stages: it manufacture products, uses them, and disposes them off after usage. Resources are only extracted from the environment but never given back. This troubles the environment which is then continuously exploited to meet the ever-increasing needs.
However, the circular economy utilises the maximum value of the products for as long as possible. In the circular economy, the products are created in such a manner, that they are sustainable and can be reused and can then, be composted back to the environment. This compost then gives back the nutrients taken from the environment and does not fill toxic landfills. Also, waste materials left after usage of the products are further utilised as the raw material for the next batch of products.
This practice maintains a circular loop and reduces waste and pollution. After all, a greener planet leads to a sustainable future.
